.AN ARCTIC AIRMASS MOVING ACROSS THE MIDWEST COMBINED WITH BRISK
WINDS WILL RESULT IN WIND CHILLS OF 15 BELOW TO 25 BELOW IN OUR
AREA THIS MORNING. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL DIVE SOUTH FROM
CANADA TODAY AND MOVE ACROSS OUR AREA LATE TONIGHT AND EARLY
SATURDAY. STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP TODAY IN ADVANCE OF
THIS FRONT... CAUSING AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. SNOW
WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM THE NORTHWEST TONIGHT. SNOW WILL
END OVER MOST OF THE AREA SATURDAY MORNING... HOWEVER LAKE EFFECT
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE SATURDAY AFTERNOON OVER NORTHERN
PORTIONS OF THE AREA. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF NEW SNOW BY SATURDAY
NIGHT ARE EXPECTED TO BE 2 TO 4 INCHES... WITH AMOUNTS A LITTLE
HIGHER OVER SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN.

INCREASING SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW
BY MIDDAY... CONTINUING THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD
THE AREA FROM THE NORTHWEST THIS EVENING. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF
SATURDAY MORNING... BUT LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL LIKELY
CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON OVER NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE
AREA. TOTAL NEW SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TONIGHT AND SATURDAY ARE
EXPECTED TO BE 2 TO 4 INCHES INCHES ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA...
WITH SLIGHTLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN. STRONG
WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW TONIGHT
AND SATURDAY.

IMPACTS...

* DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILLS THIS MORNING WILL CAUSE SKIN TO
SUFFER FROSTBITE WITH EXTENDED EXPOSURE. TRAVEL WILL BE
HAZARDOUS DUE TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW BY THIS AFTERNOON.
SNOW AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS TONIGHT AND SATURDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS...MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND
GLOVES.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW
AROUND. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
