The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center issued severe thunderstorm watch number 356 at 4:15 p.m. EDT. In addition to a large part of northeastern Illinois and parts of southern Wisconsin and Lake Michigan, the watch includes five Indiana counties in the northwestern corner of the state:
